Devon,
I wrote eleven city councillors asking them to support Alex Cullen and vote to allow the ads. Three stated in their responses that they would vote against allowing the ads. Two responded that they were planning on voting to allow the ads. Five sent confirmation that my views would be reviewed and considered, but did not state how they planned on voting. One of the councillors mentioned that the OC Transpo advertising policy might need to be changed.

You need to come up with another slogan that meets their policy.

Either there is a "God" or there isn't a "God". Who knows ?

This would open the debate. If that is what you want.

Skepticalynda, have many of them have gotten back to you? I only got responses from 5 or so and most just thanked me for my input. Last I checked the page with how they were hinking of voting showed 9 for and 6 against, with 9 undecided. I don't think that many of their constituents actually have a problem with the ads...However you are correct that there is a problem with democracy, its easy to get tyranny of the majority in place, but thats why we have the charter and the supreme court.

Based on the email responses I received from the city councillors they are likely going to vote to uphold the decision of OC Transpo.
An online petition with the names of non-residents on it is not very impressive. These councillors will vote according to the wishes of their constituents.

Everything in the Universe still gives off light. It's called black body radiation. Things near room temperate don't give off enough of the type of light our eyes see for it to be visible, but it's there. It's how infrared detectors on public washroom water faucets work.

For the first several hundred thousand years of its life, the Universe was so hot that it glowed. Everything in the Universe gave off light, and scattered light.

We have all descended from that scattered light.

Devon,

Woops - I forgot to include the source for my CEO quote above. Luke 18:25

You might also find this Interesting:

Feb 2009 NewScientist

According to Heisenberg, it is impossible to measure both the momentum and position of a quantum particle accurately because those properties are interlinked. Measuring one therefore makes the other more uncertain. That's because individual particles are considered parts of a probability "wave", in which many possible combinations of position and momentum exist simultaneously. But Maurice de Gosson at the University of Vienna in Austria thinks that the inability to pin a particle down is due to something called symplectic geometry, not quantum weirdness.

I got the day off so I will be going! I think I will have at least 2 seats free in my car, I will be driving from bowmanville, so if anyone wants to meet up and carpool let me know my e-mail is devonkime@hotmail.com.

Gabriel maybe you should seek psychological help, you seem to be growing more irrational and firing out bible quotes far faster than normal.
