Even a ‘victory’ in what is evidently a battle between theists and non theists isn’t surefire here.

Well the number of atheists that argue with me saying that it is human nature to want to kill each other (in self defense is larger than the number of theists who think that God’s command “thou shalt not kill” really means “thou shalt not murder” (kill=murder)

I think the biggest problem in the world is that we do not respect life.

If you are ok with killing, soldiers, armies and war then I don’t care what you believe – you do not believe in the gift of life.

Gabriel, what makes you say atheists take delight in killing anything? Why would you say such a thing?

Also, did you expect all atheists to be humanists? Why would you think that. We really only have one thing in common and that is that we don’t believe there is a god and even that seems to vary in degree. We don’t even all agree on the definition of atheist…

I find that most of ther atheists on here take the same delight in “killing” their enemy as many religious extremists do.

I am disappointed. I thought that humanists would respect all life ?

Are there “humanist atheists” and “non-humanist atheists” then ?

I’m not sure I understand. We have the knowledge to reduce death by malaria. For some reason we have decided to spend our wealth on toys, yachts, private jets, big cars, big houses, recreational drugs.

For starters, I would say “better” would be feeding people, showing kindness and not killing each other.

Do you disagree ?

Well, if someone attacks you and your family, I don’t suppose you will stand back and allow it. By making the world a better place for YOU, you probably will be making it a worse place for others. Saying, “We must stop all the killing,” is simplistic and naive. Aggression is an integral part of the human character, and will never be expunged.
